backpack "Community Backpack" is an online bulletin board where local non-profit organizations may post fliers announcing special events and programs for children and families. Organizations interested in posting a flier should email it to bkohn@mcas.k12.in.us. (Please send information in .pdf format if possible.)
 
The event should be in or very close to MCAS attendance boundaries, and it should pertain to or involve students. Please suggest a length of time for the flier to be posted. Sorry - no campaign events or ads/offers by for-profit businesses.

Non-profit organizations may also make fliers and announcements available at school buildings for distribution from the office, however information will not be sent home with students.   • Women in Science Expo at PNC

    On April 4th from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., Purdue North Central will hold a "Women in Science Expo" (WiSE) that will bring women in STEM professions together with local aspiring female scientists of the future. This expo will allow girls in grades 6-12 to engage in hands on science activities and interact with women in varying occupations and levels of STEM professions, including graduate and undergraduate research. Girls (grades 6-12) and parents (including dads!) are welcome at this event, which is an expo format (come anytime 11-2). Register by 3/27 - first 50 receive a free tote bag.
